Chloe has got to be one of the greatest design houses to come out of France in modern times. Without a doubt, there are many other French designers that continue to impress with their amazing designs. Chloe, however, has always been close to my heart.
New York Fashion Week just passed, and I managed to gain access to a few of the runway shows. The one that impressed me the most was the Spring 2007 collection from Marc Jacobs. I have been a huge fan of Marc’s work since he launched his first signature line back in 1986. He received the Parsons School of Design’s highest honor in 1985, and launched his namesake label shortly thereafter. This, in turn, led to a stint at Louis Vuitton where he designed their very first ready-to-wear collection.
I think I am in love, oh loyal readers! For those of you that know me, I think that you would agree that I am the stereotypical fashion snob; a jaded fashionista. But this week everything changed. I have hope…reason…purpose! Fashion is no longer another decadent outlet that allows me to act out my dreams of one day becoming a drug addicted, oversexed supermodel.
