Dolce and Gabbana “Miss Bunny” Dome Satchel

To tell the truth, this handbag sort of confuses me. Is it supposed to be a satchel? A shopper? It kind of resembles a shapeless mass of leather, which is not what I’ve come to expect from the amazing designer that is Dolce and Gabbana. Although I like the shining patent leather and the interesting handle, I really hate the awkward way the leather wrinkles down and the extraneous buckles on the sides that aren’t really doing the best job to keep this bag’s shape.

Along with its sort-of dome shape, the bag has two zips – one on the top, which makes sense; and one on the bottom, which makes no sense. If I were to unzip that purse in the middle of the street to pull something out, everything in there would fall out. However, I can’t decide if it’s supposed to be decorative or functional. I’m going to go with decorative, because I can’t imagine how a zip like this can be at all functional. The purse also has an interior cell phone pocket and fairly big dimensions, which mean it may work as an overnight bag, too. I suppose in some way, the slouchy leather can be attractive. After all, you could carry this with couture jeans, a slouchy white sweater, and a black-and-white scarf. This bag does remind me of the train travelling bags; perhaps it’s meant to emulate that.
