Gucci Shield High Heel Bootie

All these fall boots are extremely appealing to a shoe-loving girl like me – and Gucci’s offering is no exception. However, I do take issue with the fact that this is called a bootie. In my day, booties were little knitted sock-like items that you put on babies’ feet to keep them warm. I’d call this a full-fledged boot; at least, it has the sex appeal of one, anyway. At a staggering four-and-half-inch stiletto heel height, this boot definitely towers over most of its competition. It’s swathed in black patent leather with a fiercely pointed toe and has a signature Gucci coin that tells everyone exactly whose boots you’ve got on.

I’d wear these with my sexiest evening outfit – the boots pretty much require it. However, they’re understated enough to wear with a pair of jeans or dress pants if you want to look great at work. My favorite has got to be that gold coin, though. It really just makes the whole boot. Another thing that I take umbrage with – some women think it’s tacky to wear designer labels so prominently on their clothes. To that, I say, if you’re going to pay $875.00 for a pair of pick-up boots for the club (and fine, for everyday, too), then I think you’ve got a right to flash around the big G. I found these at NeimanMarcus.com.

If you’re looking for something a little less expensive, but just as sexy, why not try the Stuart Weitzman Mercury boot? At $374.00, the price is nothing to sneeze at, but I think it’s worth it for the buttery black suede, four-inch stiletto heels and metallic platform and heel. As well, the boot comes in a dark brown if black’s not your thing. Find it at Zappos.com.

If this boot came in black, it’d be perfect. Unfortunately for me, it only comes in brown. Nevertheless, it’s something I really like. The Nine West Women’s Lapaz boot, on first glance, looks to be your simple daily walking boot. However, the detail of the patent leather upper and pointed toe put this boot on my sexy list, and the classy stiletto heels ensure that it can definitely hold its own at the club, on the street, and anywhere you want to wear it. The heels are approximately three and a half inches. Find it at Endless.com for $55.89.
