Juicy Couture Lady-in-Waiting Velour Satchel

Yes, I know I’ve said it before. Every girl likes to feel like a princess when she wears a certain pair of shoes or carries a certain amazing handbag. However, I didn’t actually expect any designer to take me literally! Juicy Couture has made a, well, interesting handbag that calls out to all the little princesses inside those stylish fashionistas. Ever wished you could live in your own fairy tale? Now you can! The question is, do you want to do it so obviously?

The Lady-in-Waiting Velour Satchel is an otherwise nice bag made of soft brown quilted velour. It actually looks soft enough to sleep on – I want to cuddle up with this purse. It has a chain-link ornament with a heart and marble detail (made solely to display the Juicy Couture logo) and a top zip closure. So far, so good. The bag itself has a slightly dome shape, which I also like, and its generous dimensions ensure that I can carry what I need to without leaving anything out.

However, I don’t know what possessed the girls of Juicy Couture to engrave their very own “fairy tale” on the side of this bag! Below a contrasted engraving of a crown surrounded by a vine, the inscription reads, “Once upon a time, in a land far, far away, two nice girls set out to create the perfect girlie collection. Juicy Couture swept the land and they lived happily ever after.” Well, yes, they would, considering how many girls buy their designs, but honestly? Why would I want to be a walking advertisement for Juicy Couture? Most designers will include a logo somewhere on the bag, but sorry, a thirty-word description of the company, even in fairy tale lingo, doesn’t fly with me or my wallet. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to.
