A cute throwback to the 1950s, I can just see the woman wearing these knotted bow sandals sipping pink lemonade with a cherry, and bouncing down Hollywood Boulevard in a flouncey red dress to match!

What I love about these shoes is that they’re pure unadulterated fun! The knotted bows almost take these black and blue polka dot pumps over the edge – especially black and blue polka dots on red, but it works – just like most of Betsey Johnson’s bizarre yet stylish designs do. They’re so haute couture they’re almost to the point of hideous, if you get my drift, but even I could see myself wearing these.

These sandals almost look too uncomfortable to pull off – at 4-inches they’re classic Betsey Johnson who seems to say go high or go home. However they’re lined with a light padded sock for comfort, and held in place by a matching red with black and blue polka dot adjustable ankle strap – with a matching bow!

The only flaw with these shoes is you have to go solid black or blue in order to match them up – without looking like a total clown. But the good news is they’re not too expensive. The Betsey Johnson Lanica Sandals are $160.00 at Nordstrom.com
