Remember when you were a kid and you wore those slip-on running shoes everywhere? I personally loved mine – easy on, easy off, and I was good to go. Now that I’m a grown-up girl, I still love slip-on shoes, and Juicy Couture’s made one of my old favorites, this time in a designer-chic style. The Juicy Couture Kylee Printed Sneaker is the ultimate in casual deck shoe, covered in Kelly green canvas with a tan, white, black and yellow map print to send a girl round the world. It has brown leather trim, a rounded toe, terry lining, and gored insets on the sides. With their slightly padded soles, these shoes are perfect for running around the city or kicking back with some girlfriends.

I’d wear these shoes with jeans or a track suit, but you could even wear them with a funky casual skirt. You could even pair them with one of Juicy Couture’s casual offerings, and be dressed from head to toe in designer clothes, if you wanted to. The best thing about them is that they’re canvas, with very little leather. If you’re environmentally friendly, they definitely fit the bill. In fact, many designers are making more environmentally-friendly shoes, and several even have a vegetarian/vegan line for those girls who really don’t want anything to do with meat, even if it is leather. Personally, canvas shoes are where I draw the line.



If you’re looking for something a little less expensive, you can find a similar classic slip-on casual shoe from Vans. Want something a little different? The Bite Orthosport Women’s Sorbet Slip-on might do the trick to give you style and comfort, all at the same time. It’s not as environmentally-friendly as the other shoes listed here, with a leather upper, but it’s got a padded sole, it’s lightweight, and it has an open air design to cool you off on the hottest days.
