Manolo Blahnik Rela Mary Janes
It’s probably happened to you: you see a pair of absolutely amazing shoes and know you have to have them. I pretty much feel that way about all Manolo Blahnik creations, but these ones caught my eye especially, and if I hadn’t just paid down my credit card, I would be inputting the numbers faster than you can say “suede high heels”. Maybe it’s the soft grey-blue suede enveloping the shoe, or maybe it’s the fact that the stiletto heel is a decent three and a half inches, but I think the real draw is the beautifully-shaped collar and buckled strap that make this a Mary Jane, but unlike any Mary Jane I’ve ever owned. This shoe is sexy and classy, two characteristics that should be in every pump. As well, the shoes have got a lightly padded insole, which means that my feet won’t be killed by these killer shoes by the end of the night.

When I imagine myself wearing these heels (and hopefully not toppling over onto my face – what a way to disrespect the Manolos!), I’m dressed in hot black pants, a sexy blouse, and equally-amazing jewellery, but really, you can wear these with whatever you want, provided it’s not too casual. I would even try it with a pair of designer jeans, although any other type might be pushing it. The shoes also come in other colors besides grey, including black and dark-brown for those of you who really need a new pair of sexy work shoes. Just be sure that your credit card can take it, unlike mine. These shoes are priced at $725.00 at Barneys.com.
If you want the grey Mary Jane look without the designer price, you could try RSVP’s Martha Mary Janes, which are as suede-covered and grey as the Manolos, but for about an eleventh of the price. These have more of a button strap as opposed to a buckle, but they still sport a three-inch heel and a properly pointy toe. Personally, I find them delicious. Find them at Zappos.com for $69.95.
This shoe isn’t suede, but I couldn’t resist the shining dark-grey patent leather and the double buttoned strap across the upper. The three-and-a-half-inch heel is chunkier than both the Manolos and the RSVP shoes, but the rounded toe will be much easier on your feet and this shoe can fit in better with a casual look. Endless.com has these shoes for $78.95.
