Okay, I’m not normally a huge fan of expensive, cutesy shoes that look like they’re worth about $60 but cost $400. However, looking at the Miu Miu Antic Crystal Ballerina Slipper, I might have to change my mind. I have this feeling that I missed out when I was little. I dreamed about having jewelled shoes to dance around in during my princess-themed games. Now that I’m all grown up, I’m still coveting princess-like shoes, and these ballerina slippers do not disappoint.

The flats are just beautiful, made with pink crackled leather and glitter trim on the toe, heel and upper. My favorite part is perhaps the dainty cut-outs on the sides and vamp, and the fact that there’s no heel means that I can wear these equally with jeans or with a delicate dress or skirt. Apparently, I’m not the only one who feels this way – the Neiman Marcus website informs me that customers may order no more than three units of this item every thirty days. Wow. That’s one popular shoe! Although, who would really order more than one pair of these shoes? Are these customers ordering for a friend? Getting a back-up pair in case of a scuff? I just need one pair of these – they’d be treated like they actually were made of diamonds.

They’re still close to $400 – $395.00, to be absolutely exact – but I might consider putting an extra charge on my credit card to own these babies. I really like the Asian look when it comes to ballerina flats, and the Anne Klein Precious flats are so pretty. They’ve got a silvery grosgrain trim on a pale pink ballet-style shoe, and the best part is, they’re as jewelled as my imaginary magical shoes ever were, with rhinestone ornamentation just over the toe. You’ve got to be kidding me – is that a slingback ballet flat? The Sam Edelman Women’s Allyson Ballet Flats do indeed have slingback heels and a shiny embossed reptile leather look, which pretty much makes up for the fact that the shoes don’t have any jewels on them. That alone makes the shoe absolutely awesome, but the added bonus to these shoes is their padded insole, which ensures maximum comfort for any girl looking to dance the night away.
