Roberto del Carlo Suede Buckle Front Slide

I’ll admit it – I can be a little lazy, especially when it comes to my shoes. There are days that I get up in the morning and am running late, or can’t fathom trying to walk twenty minutes to work on three-inch heels. That’s why I love designers who make sexy slides. After all, some outfits just need a simple shoe, and one that’s colored a pinky-peach makes my whole day.

The Roberto del Carlo Suede Buckle Front Slide is covered in a soft peach suede and has a platform sole, which means that I still get some of the height that I want without having to watch every step I take. I think my favorite part about these shoes has to be their soft-as-a-cloud look. If you don’t like pink (and I guess there must be some people who don’t), the shoe also comes in dark brown and dark navy. I would wear these with jeans or a little skirt; even a pair of dress pants if need be. They’re elegant enough to hold their own at work, but still casual enough to be comfortable. I do love designers who realize that versatility is key for trendy women, especially fashionistas.

The slides are $335.00, a price that made me raise my eyebrows until I realized how awesome these shoes actually are. For these shoes, I’d actually pay more. I found them at Barneys.com.

So I decided to hunt for more sexy slides, just to see the sort of choice there is out there. I found the Annie Devons and after a few minutes’ contemplation, decided that I actually like them. They’ve got a red-and-white leather upper with a sandal band, accented with a red buckle. They’ve even got a one-and-a-quarter-inch heel and a padded foot bed, so if you need to stand all day, you’ve got comfort. The price isn’t too bad either – I found these at Zappos.com for $45.95.

Naturalizer has long been a brand of shoe that I admire, and they come through again with these Gusta mules. The shoe has a patterned leather upper with a Mary Jane strap across the instep and a gel insole, for maximum comfort. They’re cute, fun and very flirty; plus, they work for lazy people like me. I really couldn’t find anything I didn’t like about these shoes – even the price is right. Find them at Endless.com for $64.95.
